Parents

Student Progress

At City Academy we recognize the important role parents play in supporting their student's education. We manage student progress reports with the Utah State Student Information System (SIS). This state system provides accessible information for parents as well as students, and teachers/advisors.

We use our more qualitative and informative system of reporting demonstrated competency levels as Initial, Reaching, Solid, and Expanded or L, R, S, and E.  We are currently working closely with the state office to adjust the parameters of the state's SIS structure so that we can better report through their system all the information our parents and students want to receive.

Check your student's progress by clicking on the SIS link below then enter your username and password. If you would like more information about student progress reports please refer to this detailed PDF explanation.

Excused Abscence Policy

The submission of the Parental Request for Excusal of Absence for Valid Reason form is the only way a student's absence can be excused as valid by a parent. Phone calls or notes on other paper, etc will not be accepted. This form must be received within four school days of the last day of an absence to have the absence excused - late forms will result in the absence being considered unauthorized.
