Higher Ground Learning
Learn Outdoors
This program is designed to leave the classroom behind and take learning outside, offering students a chance to earn high school credit as we synthesize wilderness exploration with traditional academics. Our goal with these trips is to engage our youth in their education while providing healthy, safe, and fun opportunities to experience the outdoors.
Higher Ground Learning believes that outdoor education and adventure pursuits are an excellent vehicle for learning, growth, and empowerment
- and that these opportunities should be available to all students, regardless of their financial ability.
Please explore the Higher Ground Learning Website for additional information about the Learn Outdoors Program.
PSAT/SAT/ACT TEST PREP
Higher Ground Learning offers a unique test preparation program that
draws its philosophy directly from the overall mission of Higher Ground
Learning: to cater to individual learning styles, develop holistic
strategies for success, and provide an approachable and knowledgeable
staff. Higher Ground Learning teaches strategies that help a student
make use of his or her own existing knowledge to diagnose and solve
test questions. They provide test preparation curriculum to students
during one-on-one tutoring and in a class setting, along with
supplemental homework exercises and individualized consultations. The
classes are small and HGL instructors have experience teaching SAT/ACT
test prep all over the globe.
Please see the Higher Ground Learning Website for a current listing of Test Preparation classes.
Financial assistance is available to students who qualify.
