Chris Jenson is thrilled to join the City Academy Dragons team as Assistant Director. A veteran educator with deep roots in both Visual Arts and school leadership, Chris spent 13 years teaching high school art before serving as an assistant principal and principal at schools in Salt Lake City and rural Kamas.

He is passionate about supporting teachers, fostering a strong school community, and helping students grow into thoughtful, engaged citizens. Chris is also a proud University of Utah alumn holding Batchelor of Fine Arts, Master's in Teaching & Learning, and Master's in Educational Leadership & Policy degrees. When he’s not at school, you’ll often find Chris outdoors—fly fishing, hiking, or enjoying Utah’s beautiful landscapes—with his wife Angie. They have two grown children and five funny, crazy grandkids.

Chris looks forward to joining the City Academy community and making this an outstanding year for students, families, and staff alike!
