Counselor

Mrs. Strickland has been a school counselor and student advocate for over 15 years. She earned her Masters in School Counseling and her Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) in the San Francisco Bay Area where she began her high school counseling and college counseling career. Since arriving in Salt Lake City in 2018 she has taken on a role in the Rocky Mountain Association for College Admission Counseling (RMACAC) presidential cycle, a seat on the Common Application Board of Directors, and, most recently, as a finalist for School Counselor of the Year with the Utah School Counselor Association (USCA) for 2025. She has presented at numerous regional and national conferences on multiple aspects of the high school to post-grad transition focusing on first generation students. When Mrs. Strickland is not in her counseling role, she can be found chauffeuring her two young kids to various practices and performances, or waiting in a Starbucks drive-thru.
